A Message from Sandra Lewis, Principal of St. Pius V Catholic School

Dear Parents and Students,

          Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! The dawning of the school year brings the commitment of “Catholic Schools Celebrate Service.” The foundation of Catholic education points to the commitment to community service. As we look toward the next ten months together we contemplate Jesus' call to share the good news of salvation, and to see our time together as a sharing of His wonderful message. In truth, we are all learners-- administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students. We learn from each other as we seek to know Jesus better in our lives. We grow in faith, hope, and love thanks to our interactions with each other.

          This year, I challenge all the members of the school community to be “Builders of the Kingdom of God” as we reach out in service to others. May it be that our hearts are opened to His love, and that, like the disciples, our hearts might burn with the fire of our love for Him.
